Scenery that caught my attention in and around Cañon City, Colorado

Old Schoolhouse on Red Canyon Road - Cañon City, Colorado

While traveling through the Garden Park area, along Red Canyon Road, one notices an old, abandoned schoolhouse set among overgrown brush and sage.
The original adobe brick structure has been exposed by the eroding stucco covering.
Not maintained, the run down schoolhouse has become a hideout for kids who have defaced the interior with graffiti.
At this time, I do not know when it was constructed nor when it was abandoned. However, I am researching this information and will post anything I learn here in the future.
